Undercover Israeli forces assassinated, before dawn on Tuesday, three Palestinian young men, one of whom was a patient, after infiltrating a hospital in the northern West Bank city of Jenin.

Media sources said that at least ten undercover Israeli soldiers, dressed as medical personnel, infiltrated the Ibn Sina Hospital and executed three Palestinian young men with silenced pistols.

Armed Palestinian resistance fighters discovered the presence of undercover forces and exchanged fire with them in front of the hospital.

One of the slain young men, identified as Basil Ayman Al-Ghazawi was a patient in the hospital after he sustained a spinal cord injury after a missile strike in Jenin on October 25, 2023.

Israeli special forces assassinated the young man’s brother, Mohammad Ayman Al-Ghazawi, and Mohammad Walid Jalamna who were asleep in the hospital room.

During the invasion, the soldiers assaulted Jamal Qandeel, a Palestinian paramedic who works for the Palestinian Medical Relief Society, before detaining him.

The invading soldiers also stormed and ransacked several homes and interrogated the Palestinians while inspecting their ID cards.

National and Islamic factions called for a comprehensive strike in the city to mourn the loss of the three murdered young men.

The Minister of Health, Mai Al-Kaila called on the United Nations General Assembly, international institutions, and human rights organizations to protect treatment centers and medical crews in Gaza and the West Bank.

Al-Kaila added that International Law provides special protection under the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to the First and Second Additional Protocols to the Geneva Conventions of 1977 and The Hague of 1954.
