An undercover Israeli agent executed, on Wednesday afternoon, a Palestinian young man in the northern West Bank city of Jenin.
The Palestinian Health Ministry announced that occupation forces shot and killed the young man, Nidal Ziyad Al-Amer, 23, in the city of Jenin.
Media sources said that an undercover agent (Musta’ribeen) infiltrated the industrial zone in Jenin city driving a civilian vehicle with Palestinian license plates.
Sources added that the special unit shot Al-Amer with live ammunition, at point blank range, causing life-threatening injuries.
Palestine TV published videos showing medical crews performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), however these measures were unsuccessful, and the young man ultimately succumbed to his wounds.
It is important to mention that the young man’s father, Ziad Al-Amer, a notable leader in the Fatah movement, was killed by Israeli forces during its 2002 attack on the city of Jenin and the Jenin refugee camp.
Later, local Palestinian mourners gathered for the funeral procession, carrying the slain young man’s body on their shoulders, and marching through the city and its camp.
Mourners arrived at the family home in the Jenin camp where loved ones said their final goodbyes, before proceeding to the Grand Mosque.
The funeral prayer was performed over the body before he was laid to rest in the Martyrs’ Cemetery in the Jenin camp.
The local Fatah movement and the National and Islamic factions called for a comprehensive commercial strike to mourn the death of the young man.
In related news, large crowds gathered, in the afternoon, in front of the Martyr Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital in Tulkarem to mourn the loss of the four slain Palestinians killed on Tuesday night in the Nur Shams refugee camp, east of Tulkarem in the northwestern part of the West Bank.
Mourners carried the bodies of the slain men on their shoulders towards their respective family homes in the Nur Shams camp, where loved ones said their final goodbyes.
The funeral prayer was performed in the courtyard of Al-Awda Park in the Nur Shams camp, before their bodies were laid to rest in the Martyrs’ Cemetery in the camp.
Before midnight on Tuesday/Wednesday, Israeli forces assassinated four Palestinians when an armed drone fired a missile in the center of the Nur Shams refugee camp, east of Tulkarem.
The slain young men were identified as Yazid Sa’ed Adel Shafe’, 22, Nimir Anwar Ahmad Hamarsha, 25, Mohammad Yasser Raja Shehada, 20, and Mohammad Hassan Ghannam Kanouh, 22.
An Israeli drone strike killed a Palestinian woman, on Monday, and injured four others, while a soldier shot a 15-year-old child in the head with live ammunition, at the entrance to the Tulkarem refugee camp.
The woman, Nisreen Khaled Damiri, 47, was killed as a result of shrapnel from the missile which struck her in the neck and back, while the child, Mohammad Ali Sarhan, 15, was executed after a soldier shot him in the head with live ammunition.
On Sunday, Israeli forces executed the young man, Saeed Izzat Jaber, 24, and injured five others, two seriously, after an armed Israeli drone fired three missiles at a citizen’s home in the Nur Shams camp.
Israeli forces have now killed 561 Palestinian civilians, including 138 children, and injured more than 5,200 others, in various regions of the occupied West Bank, since the beginning of the military onslaught against the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023.
Israeli forces have killed at least 37,953 Palestinians, the majority of whom are woman and children, and injured at least 87,266, since the beginning of the brutal military onslaught against the devastated Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, while thousands remain buried under the rubble.
