Israeli forces assassinated, on Tuesday evening, six Palestinian young men, and shot another, in the town of Kafr Dan, northwest of Jenin in the northern West Bank.
The Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed that occupation forces shot and killed six Palestinian young men and injured one during a military incursion into the town on Tuesday.
According to Wissam Bakr, the director of Jenin Governmental Hospital, initially one slain young man and another who had sustained injuries arrived at the hospital, while a third young man who sustained a critical gunshot wound to the head arrived at the Ibn Sina Hospital, in Jenin.
For its part, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) stated that their ambulance crews transported to hospital, a slain young man and a young man who sustained a very serious gunshot wound to the head.
After the army withdrew from the town, three more slain young men were discovered by local citizens.
The slain Palestinians were identified as;
1. Mohammad Hazza’ Marei,
2. Ahmad Mohammad Samoudi,
3. Ayman Abdul-Karim Abu Fadala,
4. Saqer Arif Aabed, 28,
5. Mustafa Allam Marei, 21, and
6. Ahmad Mohammad Abu Obeid, 21.
A video from the scene reveals an injured Ahmad Mohammad Samoudi laying on the ground screaming for help, when soldiers shot him with another two live rounds, when he stopped moving.
Local Palestinians were then seen lifting the young man’s lifeless body up, carrying him out of the line of fire; the young man appears to be bleeding profusely from his head.
It is important to mention that occupation forces opened fire at ambulances and denied medical treatment to those who sustained injuries by blocking ambulances from reaching them.
Media sources said that initially an Israeli undercover unit infiltrated the town before locals spotted them, followed by military reinforcements, sparking protests among local Palestinians.
Armed Palestinian resistance fighters exchanged fire with the attacking army, while reconnaissance drones hovered overhead, and two Apache attack helicopters discharged many rounds.
It was added that the undercover unit besieged the home of the Abed family, and called over a loudspeaker, demanding a young man to come out of the house and surrender.
When the young man did not come out, the soldiers fired at least two “Energa” high-explosive anti-tank rifle grenades at the home.
Also important to note is that the slain Samoudi is the brother of the slain child, Mahmoud Samoudi, who was killed by Israeli forces on October 10, 2022, when they invaded the city of Jenin.
