HEBRON, Wednesday, April 24, 2024 (WAFA) – Hundreds of Israeli colonists stormed the Ibrahimi Mosque and the Old City of Hebron today, amidst strict military measures imposed by the Israeli occupation forces on the local Palestinian residents.
WAFA correspondent reported that hundreds of colonists, protected by the occupation army, stormed the Ibrahimi Mosque and the Old City of Hebron, where they organized several provocative marches under heavy protection by the Israeli occupation forces.
Simultaneously, the occupation forces escalated their repressive measures against the local Palestinian residents, forcing shop owners to close, and closing all military checkpoints leading to the mosque to secure the incursions by colonists into the mosque and its courtyards.
The occupation authorities had previously announced a two-day closure of the Ibrahimi Mosque to Muslim worshippers as of today under the pretext of celebrating Passover.
