Al-Jazeera English has reported that the army bombarded densely populated areas in central and northern Gaza, adding that an Israeli military planes hit a house packed with civilians, killing at least eight of them.
“The victims include a mother and her children. The youngest was only six months old, meaning that he was born and killed during the ongoing genocide. The UN’s humanitarian agency (OCHA) says more than 142,000 Palestinians have been forcibly displaced since Israel resumed its war on Gaza on March 18.
“Fleeing with only a few personal belongings, many people are now staying on the streets, in desperate need for food, drinking water, and shelter essentials,” the agency said.
The displacement is being driven mainly by Israel’s displacement orders and its destruction of homes and public infrastructure, OCHA said. Since Israel resumed the war, its military has issued six notices, placing about 15 percent of the Gaza Strip under evacuation.
The agency said about 250,000 people were in the areas slated for evacuation in Rafah, Khan Younis and north Gaza, including more than 50,000 people at 240 sites for internally displaced people.
Four detainees released by the occupation forces arrived at Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis on a Red Crescent ambulance.
The detainees are:
- Wael Fathi Ali Abu Ghali, 40 years old, arrested from Halawat Rafah four days ago.

According to an analysis in the Israeli paper Ha’aretz, “It appears that Trump is poised to back Netanyahu if he decides to launch a large-scale ground operation, following Israel’s massive airstrikes earlier this week, which led to the collapse of the cease-fire.”
The Israeli occupation army continues to prevent the entry of aid into the Gaza Strip for the 24th day. Also today, clashes erupted around the Knesset between Israeli police and protesters against Netanyahu’s policies.
Since Israel resumed the Gaza genocide on March 18, the Israeli army has killed more than 750 Palestinians, and injured at least 1400m the majority of whom are children and women.
Gaza’s Health Ministry says at least 50,144 Palestinians are confirmed dead and 113,704 wounded in Israel’s war on Gaza that began October 7, 2023. Gaza’s Government Media Office updated its death toll to more than 61,700, saying thousands of Palestinians missing under the rubble are presumed dead.
