Israeli occupation forces carried out a series of invasions across the occupied West Bank on Wednesday, breaking into homes, abducting Palestinians, and deploying in several towns and refugee camps, while additional violations were reported in occupied Jerusalem and communities across the central, northern, and southern West Bank.
In occupied Jerusalem, Israeli forces abducted Mohammad Jamal Salah, 23, from the Wadi al‑Joz neighborhood after invading his home and searching it extensively.
Earlier at dawn, troops abducted Moath Mujahid Kamel al‑Matari from the town of Beit Anan northwest of occupied Jerusalem, and Zakaria Osama Affana from Abu Dis east of the city, during invasions targeting several towns and neighborhoods in the Jerusalem district.
In the central West Bank, Israeli forces abducted a woman from the town of Qarawat Bani Hassan west of Salfit. Local sources said soldiers invaded her home, searched it, and abducted 45‑year‑old Asia Ahmad Mer’ey.
Israeli forces, accompanied by a military bulldozer, also invaded the town of Tammun south of Tubas in the northeastern West Bank. Local residents reported that troops deployed across several streets before withdrawing.
In the Ramallah and Al-Bireh district in the central West Bank, Israeli forces abducted five Palestinians in multiple invasions.
Troops invaded the town of Beit Liqya west of Ramallah, broke into several homes, and abducted Ahmad Najeeb Mafarja, 62, Fuad Rabah ‘Aasi, 40, and Mousa Noman ‘Aasi, 58.
Soldiers also abducted Mohammad Imad al‑Atshan, 20, from the Um al‑Sharayet neighborhood in Al-Bireh city, and Mohammad Walid Abu Rabea’, 35, from the town of Al‑Mazra’a al‑Gharbiya northwest of Ramallah.
In the northern West Bank, Israeli forces invaded the town of Burqin west of Jenin, broke into several homes, and abducted two Palestinians identified as Midyen Orouq and Nasser al‑Sabbagh. Troops also invaded the Marah neighborhood in Jenin and the Kharrouba area, where they stormed a residential building and searched it.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces carried out extensive land‑leveling operations west of the town of Beita south of Nablus in the northern West Bank.
The soldiers, accompanied by a military bulldozer, invaded the Bir Qouza area and uprooted several olive trees. Soldiers also installed a military roadblock west of the town, searched passing vehicles and pedestrians, and abducted a Palestinian whose identity had not yet been confirmed. Illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers also invaded the al‑Khalla area of Beita during the same period.
In Qalqilia in the northwestern West Bank, the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society reported that Israeli forces abducted at least fifteen women overnight, most of them wives of former political prisoners, in addition to wives of current detainees and mothers of Palestinians killed by Israeli forces.
The PPS described the wave of abductions as part of an escalating pattern of collective targeting in the district.
In the southern West Bank, Israeli forces abducted three Palestinians and detained others in Masafer Yatta south of Hebron.
Activist Osama Makhmara said soldiers abducted Ziad Ayesh Awad, Issa Awad, and Yahya Awad from Khirbet al‑Markaz, seized their vehicle, and detained them while they were collecting firewood.
In Wadi Abu Sha’ban, also in Masafer Yatta, a group of armed Israeli colonizers attacked Palestinian shepherds, assaulted them, and attempted to steal part of their flock.
Additional colonizers later fired live rounds and toxic gas canisters toward residents in the area and detained several Palestinians during the assault.
