In the West Bank on Wednesday, Israeli soldiers and paramilitary colonizers attacked Palestinian civilians in the north, south and central West Bank. This is in addition to the killing of 79 civilians in the Gaza Strip on Wednesday.

Saleh, a Palestinian man with Down syndrome from Yabroud in the West Bank, was severely attacked by fanatic Israeli settlers, who struck him on the head and face with sticks. He was taken to the hospital.

Today, Wednesday, Israeli occupation forces stormed the village of Kafr Qaddum, east of Qalqilya.

Local sources reported to Wafa that the occupation forces stormed the village from its main entrance, and deployed in the Al-Shamiya neighborhood and the Al-Maasara area.

Today, Wednesday, the Israeli occupation forces closed a number of military checkpoints surrounding the occupied city of Jerusalem, causing a stifling traffic crisis and disrupting the movement of citizens.

A Wafa news correspondent said that the military checkpoints that were closed included: Beit Iksa, Mazmouria, Qalandia, Sheikh Saad, Al-Nafq, 300, and Al-Issawiya, where citizens were prevented from entering and exiting through them.

The correspondent added that thousands of vehicles lined up in long lines, under strict measures by the occupation forces, who searched the vehicles and checked citizens’ identities.

Military checkpoints around Jerusalem have been repeatedly closed, making them a means of collective punishment for citizens, and increasing their suffering in accessing their workplaces, educational and service institutions.

Israeli occupation forces shut down a road with earth mounds during an incursion into the village of Beit Anan, northwest of occupied Jerusalem, today.

On Wednesday evening, the Israeli occupation forces abused several young men and detained vehicles during their storming of the eastern village of Al-Laban, south of Nablus.

Local sources reported that Israeli occupation soldiers tortured four young men at the main entrance to the village, and seized the keys to three vehicles for several hours.

These are just a few of the many violations and humiliations endured by the Palestinian population of the West Bank, including Jerusalem, who live under Israeli military occupation and are denied the basic freedoms and dignities accorded to all people around the world.
