On Tuesday evening, Israeli forces killed Mohammad Hassan Hosni Abu Hammad, 41, after shooting him near the town of Al-Eizariya, east of occupied Jerusalem, in the occupied West Bank.
Local sources reported that Israeli occupation police opened fire on Abu Hammad near Al-Eizariya, seriously wounding him. He was subsequently transferred to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Hussam Abu Hammad, the slain man’s brother, said that the Israeli occupation forces abducted his brother’s body after the shooting.
He noted that the family still does not know the details of what happened to him. Hussam explained that his brother, a father of seven, worked in the stone industry and was a former political prisoner who had been abducted by the occupation multiple times.
The Jerusalem Governorate stated that this killing is part of an escalation in the occupation’s crimes against the Palestinian people.
Since the beginning of March, Israeli occupation forces have killed two other citizens, one inside Jerusalem and another near the illegal Annexation Wall in the town of Al-Ram , northeast of Jerusalem.
The Governorate emphasized that these killings are part of a broader series of ongoing violations by the occupation, which it described as a war of extermination against the Palestinian people.
In a separate incident, two Palestinians were injured by Israeli forces’ gunfire in Deir Ghazala, northeast of Jenin in the northern part of the West Bank, while a third was assaulted. Additionally, a citizen, his wife, and their son were abducted during an Israeli invasion of the village.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported that its crews transported two citizens injured by Israeli gunfire—one with a thigh injury and another with a lower back injury. Another individual was treated on-site after being assaulted by Israeli soldiers.
Local sources stated that undercover Israeli soldiers infiltrated the village, shot a young man inside a car, and prevented an ambulance from reaching him. Military reinforcements were later deployed to the area.
They confirmed that occupation forces abducted Raed Talaba, his wife, and his son Jihad after besieging a house in Deir Ghazala around the time of iftar.
Israeli occupation forces have abducted at least 25 Palestinians from the West Bank since Monday evening, including a woman from Hebron, as well as several former prisoners.
The Palestinian Detainees’ Affairs Commission and the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society reported that these abductions occurred in the governorates of Hebron, Nablus, Ramallah, Qalqilya, and Jerusalem.
Israeli forces have continued their aggression in the governorates of Jenin and Tulkarem for weeks, conducting ongoing abductions and field investigations.
The Israeli occupation forces are carrying out systematic field abductions and interrogations across all West Bank cities. These actions have escalated to unprecedented levels, not only in the number of detainees but also in the severity of crimes committed by the occupation.
Israeli forces assassinated a Palestinian young man and injured others before dawn Tuesday, after special forces besieged a commercial shop in the city of Qalqilia, in the northwestern part of the occupied West Bank.
Media sources said that occupation forces executed the young man, Baraa Saleh Khalil Yousef Maskawi, 19, during a stand off and heavy gunfire after special forces besieged and bombed a shop in Qalqilia city.
