The Peace Now movement in Israel reported that during the first half of 2005, the so-called Israeli Lands Authority issued tenders for the construction of 142 new homes in settlements in the West Bank.

The movement said that the tenders and construction are a direct violation of Israeli obligations under the ‘Road Map’ peace plan, which calls for a freeze on all settlement activity.
