Israeli army released on Monday Ezziddin Amarna, 35, a blind detainee, from the Hadarim detintion facility  after spending five years in prison.


He was arrested at his house in the West Bank village of Yabad , south of Jenin city, in July, 2001 and accused, in spite of his blindness, of a number of charges, including preparing human-bombers, manufacturing bombs and explosives, affiliation with Hamas’ Qassam Brigade,the armed wing of Hamas.


He spent his imprisonment term at the Hadrim prison and other seven detention centers. Amarna is married and a father of five children.
