The society stated that the prosecution did not press any charges against the detainees and that they were sentenced to different imprisonment periods under what is known as “Administrative Detention” which Israel inherited from the British Mandate. The eight detainees are Bahjat Yameen from Qalqilia, sentenced to 6 months, Fursan Bani Fadil, from Nablus, 6 months, Ashraf Shamasna from Jerusalem, 6 months, Yasser Issa from Nablus, 6 months, Fadi Dweikat from Nablus, 6 months, Yousef Al Shomaly from Bethlehem, 4 months, Shihab Mizhir from Bethlehem, 4 months, and Shihab Al Husseiny from Hebron, 4 months. |
