Israeli MK: “Jordan Is the Palestinian State”

Member of the Knesset of the National Union fundamentalist party in Israel, Aryeh Eldad, stated on Tuesday that the “solution” for the conflict is to consider the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan as the future Palestinian State.

“Jordan is the Palestinian State...and anyone who attempts to take parts of Israel to create a Palestinian state will be bringing death to the country."

Arab member of the Knesset Talab El Sane’ of the United Arab List said the statements of Eldad are extreme and harm Israeli-Jordanian relations. He added that such statements are based on deformed and racist visions for the future of the region.

Another member of the Knesset, Dov Hanin of the Hadash party, said that Eldad has lost touch with reality, and that such statements are meant to create tension and provocation.
