A group of fundamentalist Israeli settlers attacked on Sunday two Palestinian children in Tel Romeida neighborhood, in the center of the southern West Bank city of Hebron. Resident Mohammad Abu Aisha stated that a number of extremist settlers violently attacked, kicked and punched his sons Ibrahim, 12, and Waleed, 11, while Israeli soldiers in the area did not even attempt to intervene.
Abu Aisha added that one of the settlers even pulled a pocket knife and waved it in front of the children.
He said that the settlers are trying to scare the residents out of their homes so that they can occupy more homes and property in the area and annex it to the illegal settlements and outposts.
The settlers repeatedly attacked the residents, including elderly, women and children, and repeatedly attacked local Palestinian homes and shops.
Settler attacked have recently witnessed a sharp escalation, as Israeli settlers in different parts of Palestine attacked and dozens of Palestinian homes, vehicles and residents, and even burnt a number of mosques and a church.
The settlers also attacked property and vehicles that belong to members of the Israeli Peace Now movement, and even attacked an Israeli military base in retaliation to the evacuation of some random and illegal outposts.
