Israeli troops attack West Bank communities, injuring five civilians and kidnapping 14 others. These stories, and more, coming up, stay tuned.

Five Palestinians were injured when dozens of Israeli soldiers invaded the al-‘Arroub refugee camp, north of the southern West Bank city of Hebron, and clashed with local youths;

Israeli sources said that two soldiers were also slightly injured in the attack. Troops fired dozens of rubber-coated metal bullets, gas bombs and concussion grenades, wounding the five Palestinians while several others suffered the effects of tear gas inhalation.

Furthermore, scores of soldiers were extensively deployed at the entrance of the camp, especially during evening hours, and harassed residents trying to enter or leave it. The invasion started late on Monday night and ended on Tuesday at dawn, local sources reported.

Meanwhile on Tuesday at dawn Israeli soldiers invaded various districts in the occupied West Bank, and kidnapped at least fourteen Palestinians, after breaking into their homes.

Seven of the kidnapped were taken from the village of Doma village, south of the northern West Bank city of Nablus. The soldiers also confiscated two Palestinian cars in the village, local sources said.

More kidnappings and home searches were reported in the cities of Jenin and Bethlehem as well as nearby towns and villages, local sources added.

At the political level, The Central Committee of the Fateh Movement of Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas, stated that there can be no peace with Tel Aviv without an independent Palestinian State, with east Jerusalem as its capital.

The Central Committee held a meeting headed by Abbas, in the central West Bank city of Ramallah, and discussed the latest developments in the region, including Israel’s escalating violations.
