According to a Hamas party spokesperson in Gaza, five members of the party were abducted after their car was stopped by members of the rival Fateh party in Beit Lahia, in northern Gaza, on Monday evening.  The car was then torched by the Fateh supporters, according to eyewitnesses. After an hour of questioning, three of the Hamas party members were released, but the other two continue to be held as of late Monday night.  Mediation by outside parties, including the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) has thus far been unsuccessful in securing the release of the two still being held.
