An Israeli military source reported on Tuesday that two soldiers were lightly injured when a roadside bomb exploded beside their jeep near a settlement in the Gaza Strip.

The two soldiers were evacuated by a military helicopter to Soroka Hospital in Be’er Shiva.

The bomb exploded near the settlement of Netzer Hazani, at the very north of the Gush Katif settlement bloc, a military spokesperson said.

On Monday morning, a settler was lightly injured after a Palestinian resistance group fired a homemade shell at construction workers along the Philadelphi route, which marks the Gaza- Egypt borders.
