Israeli soldiers demolished, on Tuesday morning, two Palestinian homes in Jabal al-Mokabber town, south of occupied East Jerusalem.
Media sources said dozens of soldiers, accompanied by employees of the City Council, invaded Khallet Abed area in Jabal al-Mokabber and demolished two homes owned by members of Shqeirat family.
They added that the demolitions were carried out under the pretext of being built without construction permits from the city council.
On Monday, the soldiers handed Jamal Ata Oleyyan, from the al-‘Isawiya town in Jerusalem, an order for the demolition of his home.
While Israeli continues to build and expand its illegal colonies in the occupied West Bank, including Jerusalem, in direct violation of International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention, and various United Nations resolutions, it continues to deny the Palestinians the right to build homes on their own lands.
In related news, dozens of soldiers and police officers invaded Dari neighborhood, and the Schools area, in al-‘Isawiya, and fired many gas bombs at students, buildings and homes.
Medical sources said dozens of residents suffered the effects of teargas inhalation and received the needed treatment.
