Army installed on Monday afternoon a military checkpoint on the eastern entrance of the West Bank city of Tulkarem.
Three army jeeps blocked the eastern entrance of the city, stopped all the passing cars and forced the passengers to leave the vehicles before they search them and their cars, local sources reported. Troops also inspected the passengers IDs before they let them pass.
Taxi drivers in the area said the army is doing this procedure on daily basis especially in the mornings or afternoon, a time when residents go to and come from their work or school.
