Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh, on Wednesday night, ordered movement restriction between the Palestinian governorates and called on thousands of Palestinians who work in the illegal Israeli settlements not to go to their places of work, in order to control the spread of coronavirus, Palestine News Network reported.
In a televised speech, the prime minister said that the restriction would start at 10 PM on Wednesday, where it will be forbidden to move within the cities of Bethlehem, Beit Jala and Beit Sahour, calling on people in the three cities to stay in their homes in order to prevent the infected cases from spreading the disease.
At the time of this report, according to Palestinian WAFA News Agency, there are a total of 47 cases of the novel coronavirus in the West Bank which have been confirmed by the Palestinian government. Government spokesman, Ibrahim Milhem said Thursday that there are three new cases of coronavirus in Palestine.
