An Israeli source reported on Tuesday that the army arrested 20
Palestinians during its arrests campaign in the West Bank.
The residents are allegedly members of Hamas and the Islamic Jihad.
The arrests were made in the West Bank cites of Ramallah, Tulkarem,
Jenin and Nablus after the army invaded the cities and conducted the
arrests, the Israeli Radio reported.
In Jenin, a group of Palestinian fighters fired at the army during the
arrests but no injures or damage were reported, an Israeli military
source said..
The army has arrested more than 700 Palestinian residents during the
past two months; most of them are members of Hamas and Islamic jihad.
