Israeli soldiers ambushed and arrested, on Friday evening, a fighter of Al Aqsa Brigades, the military wing of Fateh movement, in the West Bank city of Jenin.
A Palestinian security source in Jenin reported that soldiers ambushed Ali Abdul-Latif Al Qaneery, from Jenin refugee camp, in an area between Sanur and Qabatia, south of Jenin.
Qaneery was driving, along with other residents, when they are ambushed and arrested.
An Israeli army source claimed that soldiers searched the vehicles and found a gun, ammunition and combat tools.
Al Qaneery is wanted by the Israeli army since the beginning of Al Aqsa Intifada late 2000. His brothers was killed in Jenin refugee camp in 2002 along with dozens of residents killed after the Israeli army invaded the camp, shelled and bulldozed the homes during the “Defensive Shield” operation during which the Israeli army invaded all of the Palestinian controlled areas in the West Bank.
Al Qaneery survived several assassination attempts during the Intifada.
