Israeli military training on Tuesday caused a wide area of agricultural land in the Jordan Valley to burn, Quds News Network reported.

Local sources said that the Israeli military’s use of live ammunition caused fire to burn nearly 180 dunams of agricultural land and 8200 dunams of pastoral land, used for the purpose of grazing livestock.

Israeli military training was the cause of the fire which destroyed Palestinian crops of wheat and barley, as well as land for the grazing of livestock.

The loss of land and crops will have a detrimental effect on the Palestinian farmer’s ability to make a living.

The occupation state of Israel seeks to displace the indigenous Palestinian people from their land, in order to make room for illegal settlers.

Israel has openly admitted plans to annex the occupied West Bank, as such, taken into context, this incident could be seen as a intentional act and not a mere accident as Israeli authorities may claim.
