Israeli soldiers arrested on Friday at dawn Ali Mansour, leader of the Al Aqsa Brigades, the military wing of Fateh movement in Nablus. Another fighter identified as Saddam Mansour was also arrested in the attack.
Ali and Saddam were arrested after the soldiers invaded Kafer Qalil village, south of the West Bank city of Nablus, surrounded a home before breaking into it and arresting them.
Resident Fares Mansour, the brother of Ali, said that soldiers used loud speakers to call them out of their home.
Soldiers broke into the home and searched it causing damage to the furniture, destroyed a personal computer and arrested the two fighters.
Resistance fighters exchanged fire with the army after arresting the two fighters; the gun battle lasted approximately until 6 a.m.
Soldiers arrested dozens of residents in the village over the last month, including an under-aged girl.
