The Israeli army invaded, on Thursday morning, the West Bank city of Nablus, and exchanged fire with resistance fighters.
Troops invaded the city from several directions and invaded the old city in Nablus; exchange of gunfire for several hours was reported when the invading force was spotted by the resistance.
Four residents were arrested in the old city; the four are allegedly members of the Islamic Jihad.
Soldiers forced the residents out of their homes and searched the houses, damage was reported.
No injures were reported during the invasion.
