An Israeli military source reported, on Thursday evening, that soldiers arrested a Palestinian reporter who works with the Qatar based al Jazeer TV, in the West Bank city of Hebron.
The source stated that soldiers arrested Awad Rajoub, upon request of the Israeli security services.
Soldiers arrested Rajoub along with several other residents during a military invasion carried out in the city.
A source at the Rajoub family said that soldiers surrounded the home of Awad, broke into it and searched it before confiscating one computer and a cellular phone.
Also, soldiers attacked Rajoub and hit him with their batons in front of his family, and took him to an unknown destination.
Al Jazeera reported in its webpage that soldiers arrested several months ago another reporter working with the agency; the reporter was identified as Nizar Ramadan.
Ramadan is currently imprisoned in the Negev detention facility.
