Israeli sources in Tel Aviv reported that the State Comptroller, Micha Lindenstrauss, initiated a probe on information which revealed that senior Israeli military and police officials formed firms for selling Israeli weapons around the world without following rules and regulations regarding arms trade.

Lindenstrauss revealed that the officers formed at least 220 Israeli companies specialized in selling weapons in dozens of countries, especially in China, South America, East Europe, and Africa.

According to Lindenstrauss, most of the officials started preparing for the creation of their companies while they were still in their military posts, while others were working as military officials in Israeli embassies.
