According to Palestinenet news website, the shelled vehicle belonged to Palestinian security forces, and was targeted while driving close to the center of the Palestinian Preventive Security.
The targeted vehicle was apparently transporting members of the Al Aqsa Brigades.
According to eyewitnesses, the Israeli airforce fired one missile at the club, and when the Palestinean Security vehicle sped out of the building transporting an injured P.A security man, soldiers fired an additional two missiles at it.
Meanwhile, the Israeli army claimed that the sports club was the possible launch site for a Qassam shell which hit the Israeli town of Karmia earlier Saturday night , injuring a baby. The army further suspects the site was also used in the past to plan attacks against Israel and to prepare homemade shells.
