In a joint press release issued in the Gaza strip, Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades of Fatah and Al-Quds Brigades of Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility of firing one homemade shell at the Israeli city of Askalan late on Tuesday night.
 
The Al-Quds Brigades announced in the press release the start of what they called the "Quake," which includes firing 100 homemade shells
 
Earlier on Tuesday, Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades fired two shells at Kfar Aza settlement near the Gaza Strip in response to the assassination of one of their top leaders.
