Israeli police released two East Jerusalem Palestinian lawmakers after detaining them for few hours in Talbiot investigation centre.

he Israeli police arrested on Wednesday morning two Hamas members of the Palestinian Legislative Council after they visited Al Makassed Islamic Hospital in east Jerusalem.
The police claimed that the two legislators, Mohammad Abu Teir, and Mohammad Totah, conducted “illegal activities by attempting to recruit the hospital and its administration to carry activities supporting Hamas”.
The Jerusalem police also claims that Hamas members have been conducting similar activities in other institutions in Jerusalem, including the Electric Company in the city.
According to the police, Hamas is trying to recruit activists in East Jerusalem public institutions.
Abu Teir is the second man on Hamas parliamentary list.
