Israeli soldiers resumed the construction work of the Separation Wall near Aboud village, near the West Bank city of Ramallah, in spite of a ruling of the Israeli High Court to halt the construction there. The Israeli security ministry claimed that the resumption of the construction on Friday was “an error” after claiming that the court ruling which was issued on Thursday was only handed to the contractors on Friday.
Judge Edmond Levi issued on Thursday a temporary injunction barring the army from resuming the construction of the Wall in Aboud. The temporary ruling was issued after the village council in Aboud and 19 residents filed an appeal to the High Court in Israel.
Despite the ruling, when the residents headed to their orchards, they found out that the construction on their lands was ongoing.
