The Israeli army killed 22-year-old Ramadan Mtair for his alleged involvement in the Islamic Jihad resistance movement in a pre-dawn invasion to Jericho on Wednesday.Troops had entered Aqbat Jaber camp with a number of military vehicles, then killed Matar and arrested two others, Nayef Mgheiti 20, and Ibrahim Abu Assal, 21.
Eyewitnesses said troops entered Mtair’s house, killed him inside his room then left. Mtair was taken to the nearby
Troops surrounded three houses and called on the residents to come out, the army said.
The two men, believed to be Fatah activists, came out from their houses and were arrested by the army.

The army claimed they were looking for armed resistance men. No arms or explosives were found in any of the searched houses.
This is the second invasion into Jericho in less than two weeks. Israeli army invaded Jericho two weeks ago and arrested leader of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Ahmad Sa’adat and four of his comrades, and senior Fatah leader Fuad Al-Shobaki, and many other Palestinians who were imprisoned in Jericho Prison.
Sa’adaat and Shobaki were guarded by British and American security officers who left their posts few minutes before the Israeli army invasion to the jail.
