Earlier Sunday, the Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed that medics and rescue teams uncovered the corpses of eight Palestinians, including a child and two women, under the rubber of a bombarded home in Rafah, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.
The Health Ministry said the slain Palestinians were found under the rubble of a home bombarded by the Israeli army at night in the Sho’uth neighborhood in Rafah.
The research and rescue operations were carried out throughout the night despite the ongoing Israeli bombing, an issue that impeded the search and posed serious risks to the teams’ lives.
Three slain Palestinians have been identified as Khaled Sa’ir Mansour, Ziad Ahmad al-Modallal, and Rafat Saleh Sheikh al-Eid.
The bombing also led to serious damage to surrounding homes, forcing the families to leave and try to seek shelter elsewhere.
The ongoing Israeli offensive, which entered its third day, has resulted in the death of at least twenty-nine Palestinians, including six children and four women, in addition to the injury of more than 253 Palestinians, including ninety-six children and twelve women.
Hundreds of homes, apartments, buildings and public and private facilities have also sustained partial to complete damage due to the ongoing offensive.
