On Friday, Israeli soldiers shot a young Palestinian man and caused many to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation during protests that erupted after the army invaded the Bab az-Zawiya area in the center of Hebron city, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank.
Media sources said the Palestinian marched in the area, heading to the permanent military roadblock at the entrance of Shuhada Street, before the soldiers chased them into Bab az-Zawiya and started firing live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets, gas bombs, and concussion grenades while several young men hurled stones and empty bottles at them.
Medical sources said the soldiers shot a young man with live fire in the leg, resulting in moderate wounds, and caused many Palestinians to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation, especially since the area is in Hebron’s trade center, always filled with people.
