ThePalestinian foreign ministry in Gaza City burned to the ground early Thursday morning after three Israeli missiles struck the building, injuring ten residents in nearby buildings.

Witnesses told Al-Jazeera TV that several houses and cars were severely damaged in the attack.

 

Medical sources at the Ash Shifa’a Hospital in Gaza Cityreported ten residents were treated for minor injuries caused by falling debris. It was not known if anyone was in the ministry at the time of the attack.

 

An Israeli military spokesperson confirmed the air raid and said the ministry was "led by Hamas" and was used as a meeting place for the group.

Spokesperson for Palestinian foreign minister Mahmoud al-Zahar, a Hamas leader, described the raid as a "terrorist act."
