The spokesperson for the European Union monitors working at Rafah crossing south of the Gaza Strip said that the Israeli army banned them from reaching their work station at Rafah crossing Wednesday at dawn.
In a press conference the spokesperson added that the army told them a bomb had been planted on the road leading to the crossing and that it was for their own safety that they stay off the road. He added that there is a meeting scheduled between the Israelis and European Union monitors to discuss reopening the crossing as soon as possible.
