On Tuesday dawn, the Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed the death of a Palestinian who was shot and seriously injured by Israeli army fire Monday during the massive Israeli invasion of Jenin, leading to five deaths and more than 100 injuries; the soldiers killed his son on January 26, 2023.
The Health Ministry said Amjad Aref Al-Ja’as, 48, from Jenin refugee camp, was one of many Palestinians who suffered serious wounds Monday and succumbed to his injuries.
Due to the seriousness of his wounds, the Palestinian was rushed to a hospital in Jenin and was later moved to Rafidia Hospital in Nablus.
It is worth mentioning that Amjad is the father of Wasim Amjad Aref Al-Ja’as, 19, who was among nine Palestinians, including one woman and siblings, killed by Israeli army fire in the Jenin refugee camp on January 26, 2023.
Earlier Monday, the Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed that Israeli soldiers killed five Palestinians, including a child, and injured at least 100, including 23 who suffered life-threatening wounds, in Jenin and the Jenin refugee camp, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.
The Palestinians who were killed by the army Monday have been identified as Ahmad Yousef Saqer, 15, Khaled Azzam Asa’sa, 21, Qassam Faisal Abu Seriyya, 29, and Qais Majdi Adel Jabarin, 21, Ahmad Khaled Daraghma, 19, from Tubas, in the northeastern West Bank.
The Israeli army said seven soldiers were injured, one seriously, when Palestinian fighters detonated an explosive device weighing more than 40 kilograms near their armored military vehicles and added that the explosion caused serious damage to the vehicle, although it was armored.
On Monday evening, Israeli soldiers killed a young Palestinian man and injured two after the army invaded Husan village, west of Bethlehem, in the occupied West Bank.
