Israeli occupation authorities delivered, on Tuesday, 15 stop-work orders near Salfit, 2 demolition notices near Bethlehem, and expropriated a large plot of land for a settler-only road near Nablus, according to local sources.
In the northern West Bank, Israeli forces expropriated land from Huwara town, south of Nablus, for the expansion of a settler-only road, a local official reported.
According to Ghassan Daghlas, the official who monitors Israeli violations and colonialist activities in northern West Bank, occupation authorities took over a 362-square-meter plot of land in the town of Huwara, for a road that will exclusively serve illegal Israeli colonists.
Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation authorities handed 15 Palestinian home-owners stop-work orders on their homes, in Sarta village, west of Salfit in the central West Bank.
According to Ibrahim al-Khatib, the head of the Sarta village council, Israeli soldiers delivered stop-work notices to 15 homes belonging to local citizens, some of whom already live in the homes.
These orders were based on the pretext that the homes are located in “Area C”, which, according to the Oslo Accords, gave the Israeli occupation full military, civil, and administrative control.
In the southern part of the occupied West Bank, Israeli authorities ordered the demolition of two Palestinian-owned homes in Al-Khader town, southwest of Bethlehem.
According to Hasan Breijiyya, the head of the Bethlehem office of the Wall & Colonization Resistance Commission, Israeli forces handed 2 demolition orders to the owner of both homes, Samih Ahmed Salah.
Breijiyya added that both homes measure 150-square-meters, one is inhabited by five people, while the other is under construction.
The demolition order, based on Military Order 1797, provides 96-hours notice, leaving little to no time to appeal the decision, under the pretext of lacking a building permit.
It is important to mention that Salah has had 4 homes demolished by the Israeli occupation authorities, however he continues to build on his land.
