On Tuesday evening, Israeli soldiers injured several Palestinians in Beita town and abducted one at the Za’tara military roadblock, south of Nablus, in the occupied West Bank’s northern part.
Media sources said several army jeeps invaded Beita, leading to protests before the soldiers fired rubber-coated steel bullets, gas bombs, and concussion grenades.
The sources added that many Palestinians were treated for the effects of tear gas inhalation, cuts, and bruises.
Furthermore, the soldiers abducted Samir Yousef Sawafta, 49, from Tubas in the northeastern West Bank, after stopping him a the Za’tara military roadblock, south of Nablus, while heading back home from Ramallah in the central West Bank.
In Jenin, in the northern West Bank, the soldiers installed roadblocks on the Jenin-Nablus Road, Arraba town junction, Wad Da’ouq area, and between Sanour and Jaba’ towns before stopping and searching dozens of cars and interrogating many Palestinians while inspecting their ID cards.
