On Monday night, illegal Israeli colonizers and soldiers attacked Palestinian homes and citizens in Jaloud, south of Nablus, in the occupied West Bank’s northern part, before Israeli soldiers shot two Palestinians and injured many others.
Media sources said that dozens of colonizers, accompanied by Israeli soldiers, invaded Jaloud town, leading to protests, especially after the colonizers attacked homes and other property.
Fuad Hasan, a local nonviolent activist against Israel’s illegal colonialist activities, said dozens of colonizers from the illegal nearby Esh Kodesh colony, built on stolen Palestinian lands, attacked many homes in Jaloud.
He added that the Palestinians intercepted the colonizers before the soldiers shot two young men with rubber-coated steel bullets and caused a fracture in the arm of a young man.
The soldiers also fired many gas bombs and concussion grenades causing dozens of suffocation injuries among the residents.
It is worth mentioning that the colonizers cut wooden electricity poles about 500 meters away from the main power transformer providing Qusra and Jaloud with electricity.
In related news, Israeli forces shot, on Monday, six Palestinian young men and injured dozens of citizens when they confronted settlers who invaded the village of Qusra, southeast of Nablus.
All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.
Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory”.
