Israeli forces abducted at least 19 Palestinians, including three children and one woman, on Wednesday during invasions across the occupied West Bank. Soldiers broke into homes, assaulted a family in Tammun, searched properties and surveillance recordings in Hebron, and installed military roadblocks throughout several governorates.
In Tammun, southeast of Tubas in the northeastern West Bank, Israeli forces abducted members of one family to pressure another son, Ahmad, to surrender.
Kamal Bani Odah, director of the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society in Tubas, identified those abducted as Jihad Hassan Ahmad Bani Odah, his wife Rashida Burhan Bani Odah, their sons Laith and Saif, and the children Majd and Wajd.
Bani Odah said soldiers searched the family’s home, ransacked its contents, and assaulted relatives while abducting them. Israeli forces had abducted several members of the same family days earlier before later releasing them.
In Hebron, in the southern West Bank, soldiers abducted 15-year-old Yazan Murad Saleh Gheith and 18-year-old Mohammad Issam Fathi Rajabi after detaining them for more than four hours on Al-Ikhwa Street in the southern part of the city.
Local sources said soldiers searched several homes and reviewed recordings from surveillance cameras at nearby shops and residences.
The army also installed military roadblocks at the entrances to Hebron city, its towns, villages and refugee camps, and closed several main and secondary roads with iron gates, concrete blocks and earth mounds.
Before dawn, soldiers invaded the Hawara area, east of Yatta, south of Hebron, and abducted brothers Saleh and Saber Ismail Al-Adra.
In Bethlehem, south of occupied Jerusalem, Israeli forces invaded Za’atara town and deployed in several neighborhoods.
A local source said soldiers broke into and searched several homes and facilities, including the houses of Tareq Abdul-Wahsh and Haitham Ali Al-Bajali, as well as a commercial shop, and damaged their contents. No abductions were reported during the invasion.
In the northern Jordan Valley, several Israeli colonizers invaded land near Palestinian homes in the Ein Ghazal area of Al-Farisiyya.
In Tulkarem, in the northwestern West Bank, Israeli forces abducted seven Palestinians, including one woman, from the city and the town of Deir Al-Ghusoun.
Local sources said soldiers abducted Bassam Khaled Abu Taqyawi from the Al-Rashid neighborhood, east of the Thannaba suburb, in addition to Hamza Bashar Al-Karmi from Tulkarem city.
Separately, Arwa Matrouk and her son have been abducted several times. Her husband, political prisoner Ahmad Matrouk, is being held under a six-month administrative detention order without charge or trial.
In Deir Al-Ghusoun, north of Tulkarem, soldiers abducted Ra’efa Awwad and her son Abdul-Rahman Zeid Awwad, along with Mustafa Musleh, Mo’men ‘Atwa and Ibrahim Ala’ Omar.
At the time of publication, undercover Israeli soldiers were seen invading Azzun, east of Qalqilia in the northwestern West Bank, before several military vehicles entered the town.
In Nablus, in the northern West Bank, Israeli forces abducted two young men during invasions of the city and nearby Asira Ash-Shamaliya. Media sources said soldiers invaded Nablus, broke into several homes and abducted Firas Mo’in from Balata town. They also abducted Issa Mohammad Ash-Shouli after breaking into his home in Asira Ash-Shamaliya.
These are the most recent invasions and abductions reported across the occupied West Bank at the time of publication. Because Israeli military invasions are ongoing, additional incidents may not yet have been documented.
