Raed Omar, 36, was injured on Sunday morning by Israeli troops attempting to enter Rafah, in the south of the Gaza Strip.
Palestinian sources confirmed that Israeli forces shot Omar while he was standing near his house, receiving two bullets to his body, one each in his back and leg.
The Israeli military penetrated hundreds of meters into the Ash Shokah region in the east of the city of Rafah amid intensive shooting.
