The Israeli government notified 10 families Wednesday in the village of
Far’un, south of Tulkarem, in the northwestern part of the West Bank,
that their homes would be demolished in three days. The only chance the families have to oppose the order is to appeal to
the Israeli Civil Administration within the allotted time, however the
homeowners would be fighting against what the government claims are
homes built illegally without the necessary permits and the homes are
now located too close to the Wall.
Far'un Village Council President Karim Omar thinks there are other reasons behind the military orders. "These houses were built decades ago, long before the Wall was imposed in the West Bank."

These same homes were marked for destruction in 2004, but the homeowners successfully used the court system to reverse the eviction.
