On day 89 of the Israeli onslaught, in the first hours of Wednesday and the morning of the second day of the new year, the Israeli army fired barrages of missiles and shells at several parts of the destroyed and devastated Gaza Strip, killing and wounding hundreds of Palestinians.

The bombing of various parts of the Gaza Strip was carried out by ground forces, including artillery and tank shells, the Air Force, and the navy, striking densely populated civilian areas in the coastal enclave.

Medica sources said the Israeli missiles and shells had obliterated families, killing more than 207 and wounding at least 338m, mostly women and children.

In the southern part of the Gaza Strip, the army fired barrages of missiles and shells at neighborhoods in the areas and neighborhoods of Qeizani, Rashwan, Najjar, Baten As-Sameen, and several other areas, especially south and west of Khan Younis.

Israeli soldiers also struck a mosque in the Ma’en area, in addition to several homes for the Al-Farra family, east of Khan Younis.

Furthermore, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said its medics located the corpses of four slain women, who were among the dozens killed by the Israeli bombing of Hamad City, west of Khan Younis, and three slain Palestinians in the Al-Qarara area, east of the city.

The Israeli army also fired many missiles and artillery shells at several areas across the eastern parts of Khan Younis.

In Rafah, also in southern Gaza, Israeli missiles killed at least three Palestinians and injured more than ten, in addition to many who remained under the rubble, when the army fired a missile at a home for the Nahhal family in Khirbat Al-Adas area, northeast of Rafah.

In central Gaza, the army targeted with missiles and shells several homes and buildings, killing at least 40 Palestinians and wounding 98 in less than twelve hours.

The army fired its missiles and shells at various areas of central Gaza, striking homes, buildings, and facilities, especially the Ein Jalout residential towers and the Nusseirat refugee camp.

At least nine Palestinians from the Darwish family, mostly children, were killed when Israeli drones fired missiles at their homes in the Nusseirat refugee camp.

Also in Nusseirat, many Palestinians were killed, and dozens were injured when the army bombarded a home for the Abu Sharar family in Bloc 2, south of the Nusseirat refugee camp.

In addition, an Israeli drone fired a missile at an apartment above a destroyed Shawarma and sweets shop in Nusseirat.

In the Al-Boreij refugee camp in central Gaza, Israeli missiles and shells killed and injured many Palestinians, especially in a home behind a UNRWA school east of Al-Maghazi and a building overlooking Salahuddin Street.

Israeli drones also fired several missiles around a clinic in the Al-Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza, causing several casualties.

Palestinian resistance fighters exchanged fire with Israeli soldiers in Al-Maghazi, despite the constant bombings and the siege, amidst Israeli attempts to expand the invasion and the offensive on that area.

In Gaza City, the army killed and wounded dozens of Palestinians who remained buried under the rubble of the targeted homes and buildings northwest of the city and were only moved to the Shifa Hospital after the army withdrew from the area.

At least sixteen Palestinians were killed, and dozens injured when the army fired a missile at a school where families sheltered near Ansar Junction in Gaza.

The Israeli army also fired many artillery shells at homes and buildings in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood in Gaza City, while the Israeli Air Force fired missiles in several raids in the northern parts of the city.

In Jabalia, in northern Gaza, the army fired many missiles and shells at homes and buildings, including the main entrance area of a school, where families sheltered, killing at least one child and wounding many Palestinians.

It is worth mentioning that all local councils and municipalities in northern Gaza have warned of very serious disasters, especially due to the compiling waste, flooded and destroyed sewage systems, decaying corpses, including animals killed by the Israeli missiles and shells, and added that Israel insists on continuing the ethnic cleansing of the entire population of Gaza.

Furthermore, the lack of fuel, spare parts, and other essential supplies, especially medical, is increasing the suffering of the Palestinians and is leading to death among many wounded residents whose lives could have been saved if basic supplies were available, including fuel to power generators.

The Palestinians in Gaza are also in dire need of heavy machinery, including bulldozers and sanitation vehicles, to remove some of the mounting rubble, try to fix sewage and water networks and operate generators needed for pumping water out of wells for the residents to use.

On Wednesday morning, the army said an officer of the Israeli Combat Engineering Corps was killed in northern Gaza, adding that the officer is the third in the first three days of this year and stated the number of soldiers and officers who were killed since October 7, 2023, is now 509, including 181 since the beginning of the ground offensive on October 27.

Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), issued a statement denouncing the Israeli bombing of the headquarters and two hospitals run by the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) in Gaza on Tuesday.

He stated that the health system in Gaza has already collapsed and is devastated, adding that the medics, doctors, and rescue teams are facing numerous obstacles and threats, including being targeted by the Israeli army, while trying to perform their duties and save lives.

Israel has now killed at least 21.185 Palestinians and injured more than 57.035, mostly elders, women, and children, since October 7, 2023. Amon the slain Palestinians are 374 healthcare workers in just three months.

This in addition to the bombing and strangulation of hospitals and primary care clinics in Gaza. All with full US support. Clear war crimes!

Israeli missiles and shells have obliterated dozens of families in their homes; thousands of Palestinians remain missing, mostly buried under the rubble of bombarded homes and buildings in various parts of the Gaza Strip.
