On Day 220, the Israeli army continued the bombing and shelling of various areas in the destroyed Gaza Strip, killing dozens of Palestinians, an international UN worker, a Palestinian UN driver, and injured several other UN personnel, in addition to killing and wounding dozens of Palestinians.

At least 14 Palestinians, including many children, were killed and dozens were injured when the Israeli army fired a missile at a three-story home for the Karaja family, south of the Nusseirat refugee camp, in central Gaza. There corpses were severally burnt and mutilated.

The army also fired artillery shells at several parts of Beit Lahia, in Gaza’s northeastern part, and in Jabalia refugee camp, in Jabalia, in northern Gaza, causing dozens of casualties, including many fatalities.

In addition, the army fired missiles at many homes in Gaza City, especially in the western areas of the city.

The United Nations said one of its employees was killed when the army bombarded an area near the European Hospital, east of Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

The army also killed a Palestinian driver and an international worker with the World Health Organization (WHO) when the soldiers fired many shells at the east part of Rafah, in the southmost part of the Gaza Strip.

Also, the army injured two UN workers, including one who suffered serious wounds, while working near Rafah Border Terminal, in south Gaza.

Medical sources at the Gaza European Hospital in Khan Younis have confirmed receiving the corpse of an international UN employee and added that another employee was injured when the army fired live rounds at a UN car, east of Rafah.

Two UN employees were also injured one seriously, by Israeli army fire near the Rafah Border Terminal.

Un Secretary-General, António Guterres, said “A staff member of the UN Department of Safety and Security (DSS) died, and another was injured when their UN vehicle was struck while traveling to the European Hospital in Rafah, Gaza.”

Secretary-General Guterres condemned all attacks on UN personnel, and called for a full investigation, and voiced an urgent appeal for a ceasefire.


Earlier Monday, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) reported that one of its employees was also killed by an Israeli missile, bringing the number of slain workers and employees to 1891.

In another statement, UNRWA said on X that there are more than 150.000 pregnant women in Gaza facing serious conditions and health hazards, amidst the ongoing Israeli bombing, destruction, and all the health hazards and forced displacement of the population in the coastal enclave.

UNRWA stated that no person, no woman, or child should suffer like this, reiterated the calls for an immediate ceasefire, and added that “a new level of desperation is unfolding in Gaza under the world’s watch.”

UNRWA stated that %95 of the pregnant and breastfeeding women in the Gaza Strip face severe food poverty and insecurity.

It is worth mentioning that the United Nations Population Fund recently reported that 62 humanitarian aid packages, including materials for childbirth and maternity, are still waiting at the Rafah Terminal which is now fully occupied by Israel.

Also, dozens of fanatic Israeli colonizers gathered near the border with Gaza and destroyed large quantities of the desperately need food and medical supplies waiting to be allowed into Gaza.

The Palestinian Health Ministry said the Israeli army committed seven massacres against Palestinian families in the Gaza Strip, killing 57 Palestinians and wounding 82, Monday.

Israel has now killed at least 35,091, women and children, and injured more than 78,827, in addition to the thousands who remain under the rubble, in several parts of the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023.
