On Friday, Israeli forces shot five Palestinians and injured others near the southern West Bank city of Hebron, and injured others near the northern West Bank city of Nablus.
Media sources said that occupation forces invaded, on Friday afternoon, the town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron in the southern West Bank, sparking protests among local Palestinian youths.
According to Mohammad Awad, a local activist, said that the army stormed the town and proceeded to open fire with live rounds, concussion grenades, and tear gas canisters towards those who resisted the incursion.
Awad added that soldiers shot four young men with live rounds in their lower extremities, and a woman sustained a shrapnel wound in the hand; they were all transported to hospital for treatment.
He added that several citizens sustained inhalation injuries as a result of tear gas exposure; they were treated by local medics at the scene.
Soldiers stormed many areas in the town, positioned soldiers on the rooftops of several homes, and hurled a concussion grenade towards mourners inside a funeral home; no injuries were reported.
Meanwhile, on Friday afternoon, Israeli soldiers attacked a non-violent demonstration in the town of Beita, south of Nablus in the northern West Bank, triggering protests.
Media sources said that soldiers fired live rounds, tear gas canisters, and concussion grenades towards citizens who resisted the incursion, causing several Palestinians to suffer the toxic effects of tear gas inhalation.
