On Friday evening, a Palestinian young man succumbed to critical injuries he sustained last month in the Nur Shams refugee camp, east of Tulkarem in the northwestern part of the West Bank.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed that the young man, Ashraf Hani Mohammad Abdullah, 20, died of critical wounds he suffered when an armed Israeli drone fired missiles at a home in the “Al-Manshiya” neighborhood in the Nur Shams camp, on June 30, 2024.

At the time of his injuries, the young man was transported to the Martyr Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital in Tulkarem, and was subsequently transferred to the Istishari Hospital in Ramallah, where he was receiving treatment at the time of his death.

The Israeli drone strike killed the young man, Saeed Izzat Jaber, 24, and injured five others, two of them seriously, including Abdullah.

In related news, occupation forces assassinated, on Friday, seven Palestinian citizens in the northern West Bank city of Jenin and the Jenin refugee camp.

Israeli forces shot and killed, on Saturday, a Palestinian young man and injured three others, in the town of Beit Ur al-Tahta, west of Ramallah in the central West Bank.

Israeli forces have now killed 570 Palestinian civilians, including 138 children, and injured more than 5,300 others, in various regions of the occupied West Bank, since the beginning of the military onslaught against the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023.
