On Wednesday morning, Israeli soldiers invaded Husan village, west of Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank, and demolished two stores.
Jamal Sabateen, the head of Husan Village Council, said a large Israeli military force, accompanied by bulldozers, invaded the eastern and the western parts of the village.
Sabateen added that the soldiers demolished a construction supplies store in the Ash-Shorfa area, in the eastern part of the village, and a tile shop in the Al-Mashahid area, in the western part of the village.
The Israeli army claims the constructions, licensed by the Local Village Council, were not granted permits by the so-called “Civil Administration Office,” the administrative branch of the illegal Israeli occupation.
On Wednesday dawn, the soldiers invaded Husan, west of Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank, searched homes, and abducted four Palestinians, including a teenage boy.
The soldiers invaded Beit Ummar town, north of the southern West Bank city of Hebron, and caused damage to several homes.
While Israel continues to build and expand its illegal colonies, Palestinian communities and towns in occupied Jerusalem and various areas in the occupied West Bank continue to be denied the right to build homes and property under various allegations meant to prevent the expansion of Palestinian towns and neighborhoods.
All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention, in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.
Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory.”
