Israeli occupation forces stormed, on Sunday evening, the villages of Kafr Aboush, Kafr Zibad, and Kafr Jamal, south of Tulkarem in the northern West Bank. In addition, the troops invaded Balata refugee camp, near Nablus in the northern West Bank, wounding a woman with live ammunition. In the central West Bank, Israeli forces invaded the Ras Khamis neighborhood in the Shuafat refugee camp in Jerusalem.
Northern West Bank:
A woman was injured on Sunday evening by live bullet shrapnel, during the Israeli occupation forces’ storming of Balata refugee camp, east of Nablus.
Medical sources reported that Red Crescent crews transferred a woman to the hospital after she was injured by a live bullet in the back when the Israeli occupation forces fired live bullets during their storming of the camp.
In addition, a young man was injured with live bullets, on Sunday evening, during clashes with the Israeli occupation forces in the town of Qusra, south of Nablus.
Local sources reported that the clashes erupted after the townspeople confronted settlers who had gathered on the outskirts of the village.
During the clashes, the Israeli occupation forces, who were present at the scene, fired tear gas bombs and live bullets, which resulted in a young man (22 years old) being injured by a live bullet in the shoulder, after which he was transferred to a medical center.
Local sources reported that several occupation patrols stormed the eastern area of Nablus from the Awarta military checkpoint, and fired live bullets in Jerusalem Street and Balata Camp, before withdrawing.
Local sources reported that the occupation forces raided several citizens’ homes in several villages in the Tulkarem district, searched them, and subjected their residents to interrogation, without any abductions being reported.
The Israeli occupation forces also deployed around the villages of Al-Kafriyat, specifically Kafr Sur, Kafr Zibad, Kafr Aboush, Kafr Jamal, and Kur, while continuing to close the iron gate that it had set up at the Jabara Bridge. This prevented Palestinians from entering Tulkarem, which caused a long line of vehicles to line up and turn around.
The Tulkarem Endowments Directorate announced the opening of mosques in the villages of Kafr Sur, Al-Ras, Jabara, and Kur, to receive civilians who were stranded and unable to return to their homes due to the closure of the iron gate at Jabara Bridge.
Israeli occupation forces closed the Al-Tanib and Deir Sharaf checkpoints, and the entrance to the village of Qusin, west of the city, and tightened their measures at the military checkpoints, which became almost closed to those entering and leaving Nablus, which led to stifling crises of movement for the Palestinian civilian population.
The occupation forces also closed the road between the cities of Nablus and Qalqilia, under the pretext of searching for a young man who stabbed a settler east of Qalqilia.
The Israeli occupation forces set up several “flying” military checkpoints, east of Qalqilia city, on Sunday evening.
Eyewitnesses told Wafa News Agency that the occupation forces set up a military checkpoint at the entrance to the village of Nabi Elias, and another on the road between Jit and the village of Kafr Qaddoum to the east, and detained citizens’ vehicles and checked the ID cards of their passengers, which led to traffic jams.
The occupation forces also stormed the village of Kafr Qaddoum, east of Qalqilia, from its western entrance, without any reported clashes or abductions.
Central West Bank:
Clashes erupted with Israeli occupation forces, on Sunday evening, in the Ras Khamis neighborhood in Shuafat refugee camp, north of occupied Jerusalem.
Local sources reported that the occupation forces fired live bullets, rubber-coated metal bullets, sound bombs, and tear gas at citizens and their homes, without any injuries being reported.
Also in the central West Bank, Israeli occupation forces stormed Qibya village, west of Ramallah, on Sunday evening. The Wafa News Agency reported that the occupation forces stormed the village, without any abductions or clashes being reported.
