Palestinian medical sources in Jenin, in the northern part of the West Bank, reported that two brothers aged 7 and 4 were moderately injured when an explosive object left behind by the Israeli army, detonated near them.Resident Akram Abdul-Latif Fashafsha said that the explosion took place after his two children, Majdi, 7, and Anas, 4, found an object left by the army during a previous invasion.
Not knowing its nature, the two brothers were playing with the object before it detonated.
Medical sources at Khalil Suleiman Governmental Hospital in Jenin reported that the two children suffered moderate burns, and that Majdi was injured in his hands and face, while his brother Anas was injured in his right arm.
The father of the two children said that the Israeli occupation deliberately leaves explosive devices near the houses after the soldiers invade certain areas.
