Israeli forces shot and killed a Palestinian young man, on Thursday, in the Nur Shams refugee camp, east of Tulkarem in the northwestern part of the West Bank.
In a statement, the Palestinian Health Ministry announced that a slain young man was admitted to the Martyr Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital in Tulkarem.
Media sources said that occupation forces killed the young man, Moatasem Saleh Aisha, 32, on Thursday afternoon, in the “Al-Manshiya” neighborhood of the Nur Shams refugee camp, east of Tulkarem.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said that its ambulance crews transported the critically injured young man to the hospital, after sustaining a live gunshot wound in the head.
Meanwhile, occupation forces stormed dozens of citizens’ homes and converted them to military barracks and observation points, in the “Al-Manshiya” neighborhood in the Nur Shams refugee camp.
Media sources said that the army carried out a large-scale search operation, on Thursday afternoon, breaking into dozens of homes, searching them, while detaining and interrogating their residents.
Sources added that Israeli soldiers forced the residents of several homes to leave their homes, before turning them into military barracks, and deployed sharpshooters on their rooftops.
Armed Palestinian resistance fighters exchanged heavy gunfire with the attacking army, while the sound of explosions were heard in the camp.
Soldiers blocked ambulance crews from entering the camp, in addition to cutting off electricity and internet services in the camp and its vicinity.
Before dawn on Thursday, an armed Israeli drone fired a missile at a location in the Nur Shams refugee camp, executing the young men, Abdul-Aziz Mahmoud Abu Saman, 22, and Ahmad Essam Fahmawi, 18.
On Wednesday night, undercover Israeli agents assassinated the young man, Husam Bassam Yousef Mallah, 28, shooting him at point-blank range with several live rounds, after infiltrating the Tulkarem refugee camp in Tulkarem.
Since the beginning of the Israeli military onslaught against the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, Israeli forces have killed 767 Palestinians in the West Bank, including 166 children, and injured 6,300.
The distribution of those killed in the West Bank is as follows; 201 in Jenin, 178 in Tulkarem, 81 in Nablus, 75 in Hebron, 59 in Ramallah, 59 in Tubas, 48 in Jerusalem, 30 in Qalqilia, 20 in Bethlehem, 12 in Jericho, 12 inside Israel, and 4 in Salfit.
Since October 7, 2023, Israeli forces have killed 43,204 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, most of whom are women and children, and injured 101,640 citizens, while the bodies of thousands of citizens remained buried under the rubble of the devastated coastal enclave.
